The bus first takes the passengers to the Johor Bahru customs for clearance of the Malaysian Customs. After clearance, you must come back to the bus park and get on the Causeway Link Express Bus with the same ticket. From here you will go through the causeway and arrive at the Woodlands Custom Terminal in Singapore, with Queen Sttreet bus terminal being your final destination.

Another option of covering the distance in a fairly reduced time is through the KTM Shuttle Train. The KTM Shuttle Train has been operational since July 2015, and takes you from the Johor Bahru Sentral Station to Woodlands Station (Shuttle Tebrau). Whether you want to go to Singapore by taking the bus or by train is entirely your decision. Throughout the day, seven trains for Singapore leave from Johor Bahru Sentral to Woodlands station, with the first slot being 5:30 am and the last being 10:00 pm.
The KTM Shuttle Train is highly beneficial and chiefly for people travelling to and from Singapore for work purposes, and it has helped reduce the time for your trip to the causeway to 5 minutes only. A one way ticket will cost RM5 per person, both for adults and kids. The train has limited seats (320 seats) so it would be better for you to have a seat reserved in advance to save you from added trouble.
